Mark Ayling
Discarding the usual Folk/Acoustic influences such as Bob
Dylan and Woody Guthrie, Mark finds his inspiration from
bands as diverse as The Jam, The Specials, Motorhead,
New Model Army, The Clash, Killing Joke and Joy Division.

2012 ended on a busy note with a tour of Germany, Belgium
and Holland as well as playing at the Perthshire Amber
Acoustic Festival in Dunkeld.
2013 looks to be just as busy
h
aving completed an 8-date UK tour in March and
booking European shows for September
.

Mark has had the pleasure of playing alongside Justin
Sullivan (New Model Army), Robb Johnson and Tracey Curtis at
the 2011 Raise Your Banners Festival, and Billy Liar,
Iain MacDonald, 999, Proud City fathers, Joe Solo and many
other fine musicians at various gigs throughout the year.
A lifelong drummer, Aberdeenshire based
Mark Ayling has now branched out into
the world of acoustic music.

With lyrics that are mainly personal,
sometimes angry, occasionally
political, and always honest, he
creates a sound that has the energy of
punk whilst retaining the melodic
elements of the acoustic guitar.
